- 12 oz French Fries
- 8 Cups Shortening
- 1 1/3 Tsp ALDER SEASONING SALT
- Peel and slice russet potatoes into strips 2 1/4 in. long and about 3/8 in. wide (or buy frozen potatoes already prepared for frying.)
- Hold fresh potatoes in 90º salted water for 15 min. to retain color.
- Heat shortening to 365º. Place well-drained potatoes into a frying basket.
- Fry for about 3-5 min. until golden brown and crisp.
- Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with ALDER SEASONING SALT.
